It’s been a very long time

HelloReader,

Ever notice how relative time is?

From one perspective a year is not a very long time, from another perspective a year is a long time.

The year of recovery after hurricane Helene seems like a long time.

For me personally the last time I was able to fully dedicate myself to sharing my skills and gifts with you, my greater Yoga community, was August 2024 pre- Helene, which seems like a long time ago.

Since August 2024, I have been involved in clearing, recycling, and passing on many objects of life to make life more simple to manage as my husband slips into needing more care with his Parkinson’s. I’ve had to add to my list another full-time job of both property and personal care management.

While I have been able to maintain/ deepen my personal yoga practice, being away from the greater community conversation through my bimonthly emails and SM postings for 15 months seems like a long time.

When life went on pause for a while due to hurricane Helene, I turned my attention inward to deepen my studies on breath. It amazes me how resilient we are and how a simple turn of attention can turn lemons into lemonade. I am grateful for that time to study and all the ways our community came together.

Now here we are at Thanksgiving, and yes with true appreciation for my family, friends, local students, and neighbors. Personally I invite you to make thoughts of appreciation and gratitude part of your daily routine, like inhaling with ease, or brushing your teeth.

Not only do all wisdom teachings point to the aspiration of unity through mindful thoughts, but now also quantum science demonstrates there are vibrational changes that appreciation generates within our own hearts to sustain the presence of love, harmony, and beauty in our world.

I hope you will make time to receive this 27 minute practice with 10 minutes of simple stretches and 3 breath meditation techniques to help you return to the Ground of Being.

Free Live Zoom Class - Second Sunday each month from 4-5:30 EST.

Sign up now for Sunday, December 14 (existing Yoga Wisdom Members need to sign up too!) Replays only available to Yoga Wisdom Members.

Thank you for staying connected. I look forward to creatively helping you sustain and expand your practice of yoga.

Namaste, Lillah

The river of life has been moving fast and changing quickly. Perhaps you are someone who has seen many of your intentions come to...

HelloReader, I have a question for you. How strong is your personal yoga practice? And what obstacles do you face in trying to be consistent? To reap the full benefits of a yoga practice, it requires devotion. Not just showing up to a weekly class, but also engaging in a personal practice. A personal practice gives us the opportunity to breathe, compress, expand, and open so we can remember and reinforce our inner journey and the expression of our spiritual body. With ongoing devotion to...

Greetings Reader, Do you struggle with recurring back pain in spite of your best efforts? Ever notice how an area that used to bother you for only a day now lasts all week? Does your yoga practice sometimes aggravate your back pain? Are you ready to discover the missing keys to find relief? The good news is that research shows that 80% of people with back pain get relief from yoga. However practicing yoga without a back care perspective can actually lead to injury. And with so many different...
